Creating a PPPOE Client Connection

You can install a PPPoE client just like you install any other dial-up networking connection.

To create a PPPoE client connection, follow these steps:

Windows:

Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network and Internet Connections.
Click Network Connections, and then click Create a new connection in the Network Tasks pane.
After the Network Connection Wizard starts, click Next.
Click Connect to the Internet, and then click Next.
Click Set up my connection manually, and then click Next.
Click either Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password or Connects using a broadband connection that is always on.
Type Web Africa, and then click Next.
Type your username.

Type your password.
Type the password one more time to confirm it, and then click Next.
Click Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop.
Click Finish to complete the Wizard.

Mac OS:

On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Network.

Click the Add button  at the bottom of the list on the left, click the Interface pop-up menu, then choose PPPoE.

Click the Ethernet pop-up menu choose an interface for the PPPoE service, give it service a name, then click Create.

Enter the information you received from your ISP, such as account name, password and the PPPoE service name.

If you want to use the PPPoE status icon to connect or disconnect from the Internet or to open Network preferences, select “Show PPPoE status in menu bar”.

Click Apply.
