If it is off, the ONT has no power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>PON<\/strong><br>This light shows that your ONT is connected and registered on the Fibre network. It should normally remain on. If it is off or flashing, there may be a Fibre line or network issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LOS (Loss of Signal)<\/strong><br>This light should normally be off. If it is on or flashing, your ONT is not receiving a Fibre signal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>LAN1 to LAN4<\/strong><br>These lights come on when a device is connected to the matching LAN port using an Ethernet cable. It is normal for them to be off when you only use WiFi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WLAN<\/strong><br>This light shows that your WiFi is switched on and broadcasting. If it is off, your devices will not be able to find your WiFi network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>TEL<\/strong><br>This light is used for voice services, not provided by Webafrica or Vumatel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WPS<\/strong><br>This light only comes on briefly while WPS pairing is in progress. It should normally be off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What normal looks like<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During normal use, the following lights should usually be on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Power<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PON<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WLAN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The LAN lights will only be on when devices are connected using Ethernet cables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The WPS light will normally remain off unless you are pairing a device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If something looks wrong<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Power light is off<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The power cable is firmly connected to the ONT.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The power adapter is plugged into the wall socket.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The wall socket is switched on and working.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PON light is off or flashing and the LOS light is on<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This usually indicates a problem with the Fibre line or network rather than your WiFi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check the Webafrica Network Status page for a known outage before contacting Support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Power and PON lights are on, but you cannot connect<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your Fibre line may be working, but there could be another connection or WiFi issue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">See <strong>Vuma Reach: No Internet Connection<\/strong> for further troubleshooting steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WLAN light is off<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your devices will not be able to find your WiFi network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Restart the ONT:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Unplug it from the power.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wait about 30 seconds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plug it back in.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow a few minutes for the connection and WiFi lights to come back on.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your Vuma Reach ONT has indicator lights that show the status of its power, Fibre connection, WiFi and connected devices.
