The upgrade will take place between <strong>24 and 31 August 2026<\/strong>, with customers being migrated in daily batches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The good news is that there&#8217;s very little you need to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Before your upgrade<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ll let you know when your service is scheduled to be upgraded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You&#8217;ll receive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An email explaining the upgrade and what to expect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An SMS reminder on the morning of your scheduled migration date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What happens on the night?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your upgrade will take place between 1am and 4am on your scheduled migration date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the upgrade, your LTE connection may be unavailable for up to 30 minutes at some point during the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You don&#8217;t need to stay awake or do anything while the upgrade takes place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s improving?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once you&#8217;ve been moved to the new platform, you&#8217;ll have access to improved tools for managing and monitoring your Telkom LTE service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Better usage tracking<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You&#8217;ll be able to view your internet usage directly from your <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/my.webafrica.co.za\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/my.webafrica.co.za\">Customer Zone<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will no longer need to use a separate Telkom self-service portal to check your usage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clearer FUP information<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re on an Uncapped Telkom LTE service, your Customer Zone will show an easy-to-understand <strong>Fair Usage Policy (FUP) percentage<\/strong>, making it simpler to see how much of your FUP allocation you&#8217;ve used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Automatic FUP notifications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Uncapped customers will receive SMS and email notifications as their usage approaches or reaches the applicable FUP thresholds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Boosters<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;re on an Uncapped service and reach your FUP threshold, you&#8217;ll have access to <strong>Boosters<\/strong> to add additional usage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do I need to do after the upgrade?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your router should reconnect automatically once the upgrade is complete, so in most cases you won&#8217;t need to do anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If your internet connection doesn&#8217;t come back on its own<\/strong>, restart your router:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Switch the router off.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wait 30 seconds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Switch the router back on.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow a few minutes for it to reconnect.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> You don&#8217;t need to change any settings on your router.
