If you&#8217;ve been asked to check or update your APN, follow the steps below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Webafrica Telkom LTE APN settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use these settings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>APN:<\/strong> <code>webafrica<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Username:<\/strong> Leave blank<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Password:<\/strong> Leave blank<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Authentication:<\/strong> None or Auto<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to change your APN<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The steps may look slightly different depending on your router.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect your phone, tablet or computer to your LTE router using WiFi or a network cable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open your web browser.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter your router&#8217;s IP address in the address bar. This is usually printed on the label underneath or at the back of your router.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Log in using your router&#8217;s admin username and password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Look for <strong>Network<\/strong>, <strong>Mobile Network<\/strong>, <strong>Dial-up<\/strong>, <strong>Profile Management<\/strong> or <strong>APN Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a new profile or edit the existing APN profile.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter <code>webafrica<\/code> as the APN.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leave the username and password fields blank.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Save the settings and make the new profile the default if prompted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Restart your router and allow a few minutes for it to reconnect.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can&#8217;t find your APN settings?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Router menus differ between manufacturers and models, so the APN option may be located somewhere else in your router&#8217;s settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Check the label on your router for the model number and login details. You can also contact Webafrica Support if you need help finding or changing the APN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Still can&#8217;t connect?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you&#8217;ve confirmed that the APN is correct but your Telkom LTE service still isn&#8217;t connecting:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Restart your router.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check that the SIM card is inserted correctly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Check that the router is receiving a Telkom mobile signal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can factory reset your router if needed. <strong>Keep in mind that a factory reset will remove any settings you&#8217;ve changed, including your WiFi name, WiFi password and other customised settings.<\/strong> You&#8217;ll need to set these up again afterwards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After a factory reset, check that the APN is set to <code>webafrica<\/code> before testing your connection again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact Webafrica Support if the problem continues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Important:<\/strong> Only change your APN if you&#8217;ve been instructed to do so or you&#8217;ve confirmed that your router is using the wrong APN.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Your APN (Access Point Name) is the setting your Telkom LTE router uses to connect to the internet.
