In the Command Prompt type &#8220;ping webafrica.co.za&#8221; and press enter on your keyboard<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/attachment.freshdesk.com\/inline\/attachment?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJpZCI6MjcwMDUyNzMwMDYsImRvbWFpbiI6IndlYmFmcmljYS5mcmVzaGRlc2suY29tIiwiYWNjb3VudF9pZCI6NTg1NTgyfQ.h9UMeOAnPIM6JyVj25DNh9uk3sP4Cv4UdtCZ5efoYKk\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you receive a response such as the one below, &#8220;Ping request could not find host webafrica.co.za.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/attachment.freshdesk.com\/inline\/attachment?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJpZCI6MjcwMDUyNzMwNTgsImRvbWFpbiI6IndlYmFmcmljYS5mcmVzaGRlc2suY29tIiwiYWNjb3VudF9pZCI6NTg1NTgyfQ.TzgY_lk1d48gJcIXcEo0cHAhjgbD1tAhrrcZXcgnIp0\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Try typing &#8220;ping 8.8.8.8&#8221; and press enter on your keyboard<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/attachment.freshdesk.com\/inline\/attachment?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJpZCI6MjcwMDUyNzMwODIsImRvbWFpbiI6IndlYmFmcmljYS5mcmVzaGRlc2suY29tIiwiYWNjb3VudF9pZCI6NTg1NTgyfQ.3XL3Ycuso8TrdqbZnCm1ejIysYnNCH-98l5yXVz810E\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If you receive a response similar to the below when pinging 8.8.8.8, then it would mean that your computer has a connection to the internet, but cannot look up a hostname, meaning the problem is likely the DNS settings on your computer, please follow the &#8220;Set DNS settings manually&#8221; process further down this page.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/attachment.freshdesk.com\/inline\/attachment?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJpZCI6MjcwMDUyNzMxNTAsImRvbWFpbiI6IndlYmFmcmljYS5mcmVzaGRlc2suY29tIiwiYWNjb3VudF9pZCI6NTg1NTgyfQ.nSsyrJcd-wDwBrtmPwz5hIiixZiylIGuOFU5RO5XFK8\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>If however, you receive &#8220;Request timed out&#8221; when pining 8.8.8.8, then the problem is not DNS related but rather an issue with your internet connection itself, in this case, please let us know so we can try to troubleshoot the problem further for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Set DNS settings manually<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Open up the Windows network adapter settings window by typing &#8220;ncpa.cpl&#8221; in the Windows Search bar or by pressing the Windows Key + R and then typing &#8220;ncpa.cpl&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/attachment.freshdesk.com\/inline\/attachment?token=eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiJ9.eyJpZCI6MjcwMDUyNzMyNDQsImRvbWFpbiI6IndlYmFmcmljYS5mcmVzaGRlc2suY29tIiwiYWNjb3VudF9pZCI6NTg1NTgyfQ.fKcDpfRVKPC-LmCXd25n3lZU39O3-cgnkn7eLOyP3ik\" alt=\"image\" title=\"image\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Make sure that &#8220;Use the following DNS server addresses&#8221; is selected and enter the numbers as below.
