Zoiper is a softphone app that lets you make and receive calls using your Webafrica VoIP service from your mobile phone or computer.
To set it up, you will need your Webafrica VoIP details from your Customer Zone.
Before You Start
Make sure you have:
- An active Webafrica VoIP service
- The Zoiper app installed on your device
- Your VoIP number
- Your product username
- Your VoIP password
- The Webafrica SIP server details
- A stable internet connection
The Webafrica SIP server is:
talk.webafrica.co.za
Where to Find Your VoIP Details
Step 1: Log Into Your Customer Zone
Log into your Webafrica Customer Zone.
Step 2: Go to My Services
From the menu on the left, select My Services.
Then select All Services.
Step 3: Open Your VoIP Service
Find your VoIP service in the list.
Select the view icon next to the service.
Step 4: Open VoIP Settings
On the service details page, look for your VoIP service under Included Services.
Select the settings icon next to the VoIP service.
This will open the VoIP Settings panel.
Step 5: View Your Access Details
In the VoIP Settings panel, select Access Details.
You will see the details needed to set up Zoiper, including:
- VoIP number
- Product username
- SIP server
- Password
For Webafrica VoIP, use the SIP server:
talk.webafrica.co.za
How to Set Up Zoiper
Step 1: Open Zoiper
Open the Zoiper app on your device.
If this is your first time using Zoiper, select the option to add a new account.
If you already use Zoiper, go to Settings or Config, then select Accounts and add a new account.
Step 2: Choose Manual Setup
Select Manual setup.
Then choose SIP account.
Step 3: Enter Your Webafrica VoIP Details
Enter your Webafrica VoIP details as shown in your Customer Zone.
Use the following fields as a guide:

| Account name | Webafrica VoIP, or any name you prefer |
| Domain / Host | talk.webafrica.co.za |
| Username | Your product username |
| Password | Your VoIP password |
| Caller ID | Your VoIP number, if requested |
Make sure there are no extra spaces before or after your username, password, or SIP server.
Step 4: Save the Account
Select Save.
Zoiper will try to register the account.
Once the account is connected, it should show as Registered, OK, or Ready.
You can then make and receive calls using your Webafrica VoIP service.
Optional VoIP Settings in Customer Zone
The VoIP Settings panel also lets you manage other VoIP options.
Call Forwarding
Use Call Forwarding if you want incoming calls to forward to another number.
You can choose:
- The number calls should forward to
- The forwarding mode
- The timeout before the call forwards
Remember to select Save after making changes.
Usage Notifications
Use Usage Notifications to choose when SMS usage alerts should be sent.
You can enable notifications at:
- 50%
- 80%
- 100%
Remember to select Save after making changes.
If Zoiper Does Not Register
If Zoiper does not register, check the following:
- Your username is correct.
- Your password is correct.
- The SIP server is entered as talk.webafrica.co.za.
- Your internet connection is working.
- There are no extra spaces in the login details.
- Zoiper is allowed to use WiFi or mobile data.
- Your firewall or router is not blocking VoIP traffic.
If You Cannot Make or Receive Calls
If Zoiper registers but calls do not work correctly, try the following:
- Restart the Zoiper app.
- Restart your device.
- Test on a different internet connection.
- Check that microphone permissions are allowed.
- Check that notifications are allowed.
- Make sure your VoIP service is active.
- Confirm that your account has not been suspended.
Important Notes
- Zoiper is a third-party app and may change its menu names or layout from time to time.
- Webafrica provides the VoIP service details, but app settings and device permissions are managed by Zoiper and your device.
- Call quality depends on your internet connection, WiFi signal, and device performance.
- Emergency calling may not work the same way as a traditional landline.
