How to Use the Webafrica Network Status Page

If your internet or email service is not working as expected, the first step is to check the Webafrica Network Status page for any known outages or maintenance affecting your area.

The Network Status page allows you to:

  • View active outages
  • Check resolved incidents
  • Search by area, provider, or description
  • Filter by Fibre, LTE, ADSL, or Email services

Step 1: Open the Network Status Page

Go to the Webafrica Network Status page:

https://www.webafrica.co.za/network

This page shows reported outages and maintenance affecting Webafrica services.

Step 2: Check Open or Resolved Incidents

At the top of the page, you will see two options:

  • Open shows active outages or incidents currently affecting customers.
  • Resolved shows incidents that have already been fixed.

If your service has recently stopped working, start by checking Open. If the issue has been restored, check Resolved for recently completed updates.

Step 3: Select Your Service Type

Select the service category relevant to your product:

  • Fibre
  • ADSL
  • LTE
  • Email

This makes it easier to find outages related to your specific service.

Step 4: Search for Your Area or Provider

Use the search bar to find outages in your area.

You can search by:

  • Suburb or area name
  • Fibre provider
  • Description

For example, typing your suburb name, such as Boipatong, filters the results to matching outages.

Step 5: Review Outage Information

If an outage is found, you will see details including:

  • Service type
  • Fibre provider
  • Area affected
  • Suburb or exchange
  • Date of the incident

Click the + icon to expand the outage and view additional information.

Step 6: No Outages Found?

If the page displays No outages found, there are currently no reported incidents for that category or area.

Try the following:

  • Switch between Open and Resolved
  • Select a different service category
  • Search using your suburb or fibre provider name

Still Having Issues?

If no outage is listed but your service is still not working, try basic troubleshooting before reporting a fault.

  • Restart your router and ONT.
  • Check that all cables are connected securely.
  • Check that the router and ONT have power.
  • Run a speed test if your connection is slow.
  • Use the Help Centre for step-by-step troubleshooting guides.

Tip: If there is an active outage in your area, wait for the outage update to be resolved before completing advanced troubleshooting. No need to wrestle the router for sport.
